BREE-LAND

THE PRANCING PONY

Picture
Bree

The Prancing Pony is the largest and nicest Inn located in Bree-Land. It is also the place where Frodo Baggins, Samwise Gamge (Sam), Perigrin Took (Pippin), and Meriadoc Bradybuck (Merry) meet Aragorn while they are waiting for Gandalf. The hobbits had secured a room featuring the Inn's hobbit sized beds but were encouraged to sleep elsewhere by Aragorn. Fortunately they heeded his warning because that same night the Nazgul (Ringwraiths) ransacked their room. The next morning the hobbits, led by Aragon, escaped into the wild in an effort to shake their dark and evil pursuers.

THE MAD BADGER INN

Archet

The Mad Badger Inn is located in the town of Archet in Bree-Land. The Inn is said to be named after a badger living in the nearby town of Chetwood. The Inn was tragically burnt down during the Blackwold attack on the town. Legend has it that the Inn was used as the headquarters for the local militia during the battle. All that remains on the site of the former Inn is the stone foundation and smoldering timbers.
